$165,000.00 for Cleveland Police SWAT Officer Jonathan Rodriguez

A Night to Remember for Jonathan and the Rodriguez Family

On Saturday, September 24, 2022, in conjunction with the Cleveland Police SWAT Unit, Blue Line Unlimited hosted the Jonathan Rodriguez Benefit in Parma to support retired Cleveland Police Officer Jonathan Rodriguez and his family. As a result, we were blessed, honored, and humbled to be able to present Jon a check for $165,000.00.

Every dollar that was donated, basket that was created, sponsorship that was purchased, seat that was filled, and hand that was lent all made an impact to this event's outcome. We couldn’t have asked for a better, more supportive crowd last night who truly brought the energy for Jon.

The amount of response and generosity from our community and beyond has earth shattering - and solidifies our belief that together, we can make a difference.

On behalf of Blue Line Unlimited and Cleveland SWAT, thank you to every individual who made this night possible.

In June of 2020, Officer Rodriguez was with his SWAT team, responding to an emergency call when a drunk driver struck their van. Several of the officers were trapped in the van and Jonathan suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down, forcing him to retire in September of 2021 at the young age of 30. Jonathan is scheduled to undergo a costly procedure that is expected to increase his quality of life. The Rodriquez family has exhausted all Bureau of Workers Compensation and medical insurance options to no availability, and the expense of this procedure will fall entirely on the family. Blue Line Unlimited has stepped in to assist the family as this burden has become too much to shoulder at this point.
