Act of Valor Award
An act of valor is considered to be above and beyond the call of duty; and exhibiting exceptional courage, extraordinary decisiveness and presence of mind along with unusual swiftness of action, regardless of his or her personal safety, in an attempt to save or protect human life.
Community Connector Award
The Community Connector Award honors law enforcement officers who exemplify the values of community engagement, dedication, and professionalism. This award recognizes individuals who consistently go above and beyond in their efforts to build and maintain positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. These officers actively participate in community initiatives, outreach programs, and events that foster trust, collaboration, and open communication between law enforcement and community members.
