2022 Helicopter Egg Drop + Charity Golf Ball Drop

On Sunday, March 20, 2022, Blue Line Unlimited in partnership with the Portage County Sheriff’s Office hosted the 1st Annual Helicopter Egg Drop Charity Easter Egg Hunt & Golf Ball Drop at the Portage County Fairgrounds. 100% of the proceeds that were raised through the golf ball sales were donated to Akron Children's Hospital and Shriner's Hospitals for Children burn units. With an estimated attendance of 4,000 guests, we are proud to report that Blue Line Unlimited was able to donate $11,500.00 to each hospital, for a grand total of $23,000.00. None of this would have been possible without our corporate sponsors, to whom we are extremely grateful. 

How the Golf Ball Drop Works

A pin was placed on the fairgrounds field, and the numbered golf balls were dropped from the helicopter. The owner of the ball that landed closest to the pin won a $1,000 Grand Simply put, the ball that was purchased was essentially a raffle ticket for a $1,000 cash prize. If your ball landed closest to 

the pin, you won!
