2019 Outdoorsmen for Officers Banquet
Thank you to Axelrod Buick GMC for being our 2019 sponsor!
Our 2019 Outdoorsmen for Officers Banquet was once again a huge success! Thank you to all that participated and attended. We were lucky enough to host former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Joe Jerivicous as our Master of Ceremonies who did a great job sharing his personal experiences and stories with the crowd. Retired Cleveland Sergeant Kennedy Jones shared his amazing talents with us by singing the National Anthem and Amazing Grace, along with the Cleveland Honor Guard and Bag Pipes with their presentation of colors.
James Acklin of the Portage County Sheriff's Office, along with Shane McNae of the Cleveland Police Department were recognized with the Blue Line Unlimited Above & Beyond the Call of Service Award. We thank them for their dedication and service to the call of duty.
For the third year, our event was catered by the famous Mission-BBQ, who has supported us since the beginning, and we cannot thank them enough for their dedication to the law enforceemnt community. Grace Leon was kind enough to be our survivor speaker for the evening, and shared her story about her husband, Wayne, who was killed in the line of duty in 2000. Luciano Crawford was the 2019 youth sportsman, and came to share his story of his battle with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, or SMA. Both Grace and Luciano's stories were truly inspiring to everyone in attendance and we appreciate everyone who supported this event, and we hope to see you next year.
